Furniture

My fireplace mantle.  After building about 10 mantles for other people.  I have installed a new stone fireplace, and made my own mantle.

Bookcase and desk that I designed and built.  Solid oak.
Table and chairs that I refinished.  Was in a flood about 15 years ago.  All of the chairs need to be disassembled, re-glued.  Table top was peeling up, and one end of the table was propped up with a phone book. Took about 5 months.

Oak Coffee Table.  Built in 6 hours, plus finishing.

Ash make-up table built for daughter, a Christmas present in 2005.

Table built from a single timber in 1998.  The logo was wood-burned.

Goblets crafted in 2006 from wood that someone gave me at Men's Fishing retreat.  It was laminated, and then turned.  These were my first segmented goblets.

This table was built from recycled wood, all from Peace Lutheran Church.  (2005-2006)

The center of table is from the original sanctuary.  It was later used as an organ platform in the next sanctuary, built in 1983.

The trim around center is from entrance into original part of church.

The skirt board is trim left over from construction of newest sanctuary.

I built this cabinet built for a friend.  She wanted one for her kitchen for 18 years.  Her husband and I built it in one day, including drawers.  It is made of ash, and the doors were made by local cabinet shop.  (Oct. 2006)

I rebuilt the staircase and handrail in 2005.  The house was built in the 1970's. 2007-01-20 064.JPG (1562223 bytes)These are hallway closet doors in my home, crafted from soft and hard maple.
